As many of you have stated, every family is in a unique situation and your decisions about schooling are different. Based on the surveys, AMBE will be providing two options for each registered student: full remote online learning and a hybrid in-school learning model. In both scenarios, AMBE will be providing instruction for four days a week with extra sanitizing days scheduled for Wednesdays. Below is a brief description of what both of these models look like.
OPTION A
Full Remote Online Learning
AMBE will provide each student with a Chromebook where they will have a virtual Google Classroom for all of their subjects, assignments, and lessons. There will be daily lessons that they will be expected to participate in. Each student will also be receiving packages of work that must be completed and submitted back to the school for grading purposes.
OPTION B
Hybrid In-School Learning
AMBE will provide each student with a Chromebook. The hybrid model will have students in school twice a week for 2 full days of instruction. They will then be expected to participate in their virtual Google Classroom with a package of work. These work packages must be returned to school with the student.
Sample: Student A is in school Monday and Tuesday. They will have a work package sent home with them on Tuesday. On Thursday and Friday they will have virtual meetings and instruction with their teacher to support their learning.
Students registered for K4 will not be provided with OPTION A or online resources. They will be in school for 2 days a week. Packages will be provided and there will be general resources on our AMBE website
Please note that if there is a significant rise in COVID-19 cases, AMBE may be required to close the school during the school year. Should this be necessary, all students will automatically switch to full remote online learning.
